Why does Boreas,the greek god of the north wind,appear with wings in greek art?
I am doing a project which I have to draw an amphora/greek vase about a greek myth. For my project, I chose the story of boreas in which he abducts an athenian princess,Orethyia because he is in love with her. In the book that I am using, it says that he was a ''serpent-tailed god''. SO, can anyone explain this to me? If you find a pic of him with a serpent tail abducting the athenian princess, it would be of a great help. Help!!!!!!!
